I remember back in 2004 waiting in Morehouse basketball practice gym in the bleachers with a bunch of other kids and parents.
I remember 2006 still having to wait at Bishop State community college, line long as fukk.
I guess what I’m saying is that most of us ain’t got enough to not need financial aid, whether middle or lower class.
I say fukk them loans but tbh it benefits me lol. But realistically I wish they would chop off 25-50% of all standing loans and make college free or some shyt starting in 2024 (that’s when my daughter graduates

The thing is both Morehouse and Bishop State represent totally opposite ends of the spectrum but both were full of black folks who qualified for fin aid. I’m not going to say they’re poor because I haven’t seen their tax documents but for the ones who do go, this is a stark reality.
most black kids don’t go to college but the ones that do, a lot come from disadvantaged backgrounds. There’s plenty of data on this.
