But sohh had originality in topics and discussions. That’s totally void now, a big part of it is that this site has no direction

Thats another thing. There should be accountability for mods so they need to publicly comment why someone is bushed, gets points etc.. instead of power tripping. This ain't Reddit, foo!
All in all these are all dope concepts but none of them will happen as the good ship Coli has no Captain (who seems to be missing in action) and everyone else seems to be doing their best to keep treading water in order to stay in the same place. Picture the scene:
Its 2046. People are wired in to the net full time from the moment they step in to this cosmic hologram and their avatar develops with them in this parallel state on the next stage of the Game where analog and digital mingle in the flesh of those who host the silicon via carbon based wetware. Somewhere, on a rusty, dusty corner of the web there is a place that needs keys to access and a screen to witness as people sitting around arguing "Who is the best? Pac, Nas or Big?" via ancient tech that is so outmoded its usually displayed in a museum.
The rest of the world calls this curio Dustworld as its so old and ancient due to never being updated but it trudges on due to pure resilience. The members know it well as their beefs are eternal. Plus the only thing they ever upgraded was the smileys so these are now full time mini holograms that use their own app which is jacked in to the super basic forum they always possessed.
Bump this in 23 years and we'll see what happened.

Literally every issue with the site is tied into the fact that Brook hasn't given a fukk for a long, long time.
It's August 29th. He hasn't logged into the site he owns since August 7th.
Which wouldn't be an issue if Houston and I had full autonomy to run the site....but we don't.
People are asking for new mods....only Brook can do that. People suggesting we ban whoever....only Houston (literally one person) has full power to ban.
I'm a super mod and half the functions of the site (including banning) either dont work, or are buggy as fukk. I'm sure you all have noticed how janky the site is.
Brook could probably fix all these issues (open registration, mod/de-mod people, give a few more people banning power, update the site, etc.) in a week, maybe two....he just doesn't seem to care. I've PM'ed him multiple times about various issues....no answer. And I run the site, with Houston.
So it is what it is at this point.

What would you do? Whats your perspective? Keep treading water whilst being mostly ineffective (by your own admission) as the captive audience stagnates and the potential, day by day, evaporates. The Coli could be a heck of a lot more but it needs vision and direction. Otherwise the 2046 projection of Dustworld is all that will happen.
I'm beyond caring at this point.
Been sending the man PM's for years....no response. I don't see this site ever recovering until Brook takes an active interest in it. Which he seems to have no intention of doing.
You cannot care more about this place, than the owner. It's a fool's errand.

Yeah, thats true. The alternative is build another Coli but the membership simply won't survive another shift after being repeatedly fragmented in my opinion and won't have the same cachet. That said there is a pattern to all of this. What do the average incarnations of this space live for? 10? 11 years before it comes to and end and its onto the next?
