Women (somewhat) looking more credible isn't the problem, bad writing is the problem. I couldn't imagine being a guy watching this stuff and thinking women rising up is a problem over shytty writing and storylines. Becky/Charlotte/Asuka was not only a very good match, but the build up to it was very good. People were invested in each person, and they responded in kind. The WWE immediately took the steam out of Rollins/Ambrose the very next week after Reigns announced his leukemia. They damn near made it a comedy build when it was supposed to be a vicious blood feud. Then these dudes had the nerve to have a fukking sluggish Orton-like match when it was supposed to be filled with hatred:mjlol::mjlol:if you book and build feuds properly, people will care.

Man that Rollins/Ambrose feud could have been potentially been the feud of the year. These mofos had a easy touchdown at the 1 yard line and they somehow fumbled that :mjlol:

Except that that isn’t the case. Bad booking has plagued both the men’s and women’s rosters. I’ll give you a few examples:
Naomi won the battle royal at Mania which mattered little in the grand scheme of thing since it didn’t grant her any title shots or elevate her in status, much in the same way that the Andre trophy meant shyt to whoever’s won it over the years.

The Iconics were a hot act in NXT that’s since come up to do nothing, and I can point to many different talents, male and female, that that is also true for.

Asuka only just recently not only had been rehabbed from bad booking, but was also finally used after sitting on the bench for how long for no reason? The sames been true for say, Nakamura who’s been mostly MIA since he won the US title save for a few appearances. shyt, when’s the last time you saw Shelton Benjamin? Get my point?

What makes it seem like the women are being pushed at the expense of the men is the fact that they’ve had a transcendent talent who’s had the juice in Becky Lynch, as well as having delivered strong outings in ring all year long. I put that on the talent themselves, not necessarily booking. The women have had to overcome the same shyt, they’ve just been better at it :manny:

No they werent, first off, EVERyONE is a "hot" act in nxt, them cornballs cheer for everyone that has the least bit of a gimmick. NXT is not a barometer of talent. them chicks arent good at promos, the sound like they are forcing it or trying too hard. and their promos are always too long, (probably cause of they are pre written) them, the riot squad sasha and baley mandy and that other chick are all wasted until they stop bullshytting and get a womens tag division. shyt they do meaningless tag matches every week, why not make them matter, and the tag division should be cross promotion no need for two tag belts for like 4 teams

I’m not arguing these points anymore, breh. Modern WWE isn’t worth the time or effort and I lost even bothering to begin with.

Latest Wrestling Observer podcast was interesting

Meltzer looked in the decline in ratings recently and said the biggest drop was actually with women viewers despite all the things they are doing. In fact the rise of women watching WWE pretty much started when Total Divas initially became a hit and once the Bellas left after Evolution was when the decline dropped and theres a noticable drop int the demographic everytime they leave
He also mentioned that while Rousey brought in female viewers to UFC they have not followed her to WWE at all in terms of viewership, attendance

WWE is pretty much gonna have to untangle everything they did in terms of convincing an audience.
