On the Lattimore path. Top 50ish croot. Hamstring injuries slowed down early on field snaps. Then take off first year starting.Hancock will be an all american this year. Book it.

Yeah CJ too talented not to be on the field. Crazy our 2 lbs came back from last year and slowing him ip from playing. Not sure how much we’ll see this year of the Jack position. And good to see Sonny already taking first team snaps. Shouldn’t come off the field most plays moving forward. Would like to see Hicks get the Jack snaps. Has the physical makeup and same recruiting pedigree as Micah Parsons. And Parsons plays similar role with Dallas. Put the elite athlete out there and play.
Don’t mind Tommy getting the Mike snaps with him being a second team All-American. Plus sounds like Simon will play Mike behind him. Steele is good, but CJ has next level ability. Unless he’s just missing reads and holes all the time leading to big plays, gotta put him out there.Yeah CJ too talented not to be on the field. Spoke to one of my top team sources about the class of 2023/freshmen early on in camp and he had two standouts:
Offense: Carnell Tate
Defense: Malik Hartford
We good forever at wide receiver as long as Hartline here. Some tidbits from Gleitman:
Spoke to a solid team source who gave me a few thoughts on some players looking good. Not all of this is directly tied to Saturday’s scrimmage, but that was taken into account:
- TreVeyon Henderson is having an “outstanding” camp. I know I previously reported good things about 32 but sure looks like it’s all coming together as expected and a big year is ahead
- The offensive line battles are coming to an end. Josh Simmons has really been a much-welcomed and pleasant surprise as far as how good he’s been. There was confidence that Fryar could be a serviceable LT but the thought was always that he could be a better RT. Simmons emerging and ultimately seizing the LT position thus far has the staff feeling much better about the OL versus entering camp two weeks ago.
- The battle for number two tight end is still ongoing. Cade Stover is obviously cemented as TE1, but right now nobody is standing out behind him. You know how much Ryan Day likes to play 12 personnel and utilize tight ends to help with the run game, etc. so this is a position that will be watched closely the next couple of weeks.
- Mike Hall apparently scrimmaged on Saturday after getting a little banged up on Friday. I’m told he’s been really good and “virtually unblockable” as one source put it.
- I was told McCord had started to separate a bit towards the end of the week but I am told Brown had a very good day Saturday and as of last night the staff still wasn’t ready to make a call on the QB battle. I asked if it was a bad sign that McCord hasn’t been able to seize the job yet and was told “absolutely not. Kyle has been really good but Devin has been great too. I think it’s more a testament to how much Devin has come along more than Kyle not getting the job done. We feel we have two guys who are more than capable high level starters at Ohio State, we just need to make sure we’re making the right decision.”
