Is Skyward Sword better than Ocarina of Time?

Perhaps playing Wii games on the Wii U is a bad idea. First you have to boot the Wii U the swap control from the GamePad to the Wii remote then go to the Wii menu then boot the game. Then you gotta sit this remote on a flat surface.

This game is frustrating. The forced motion controls aren't accurate enough to be reliable. The game design is highly linear. Like you're stand next to a ledge you should be able to climb but the game was designed for you to reach that area a certain way so you can't.

You never used Wii Motion Plus before? That's standard procedure.

The last few Zelda games make you really appreciate how great Wind Waker was. Sure the art style was different, but it aged really well and the dungeons and puzzles were fun and challenging. The "sailing" aspect was annoying, but WW was still a top notch Zelda game

I gotta give some props to this game for departing so heavily from the typical Zelda formula and that hasn't been done since Windwaker. The controls were perfect to me, or I should say they were better than 99 percent of the other games for the Wii. The gameplay was fun and exciting and while they of changed the dungeon design to have a bunch of smaller dungeons vs one huge dungeon. I liked the changes. The only real achilles heel is the story, which sucked, imo. So while it is not the best of all Zelda games, I actually preferred this to Twilight Princess.

Xenoblade Chronicles is one of my favorite games from this generation and maybe Top 20 EVER

Before it, I cant think of the last time a game had me :mindblown: truly

There are few locations in the game (Valak Mountain, Eryth Sea, Frontier Village) where I just stared at the screen in marvel and remembered why I love video games. The shyt is running on old hardware and still LOOKS BETTER than most games this gen in terms of sheer quality.

It's a shame it came out on the Wii where it will be buried.

I was kind of wrong. Thinking back to Twilight Princess and all the stuff that I blacked out of my mind from that game. Looking up walkthroughs of that game again makes me remember how tedious that was. The highlights there don't even come close to SS. TP was so trash I barely kept it in my memory.

I stand by my daps though to emphasize how underwhelming and uneven Skyward Sword was.

Breh, Valek Mountain and Satorl Marsh are two of the greatest locations I've ever seen in a game. When the nighttime hits and the scenery completely changes and the new music kicks in...I just had to sit back and take everything in. I wouldn't stay there too much cuz the monsters were too damn strong at night, lol.

And Eryth Sea's theme is a lil depressing once you get to the end of the game. :to:

This game would be 100% better without the motion controls. All Zelda games have the same core story. The villain has taken Zelda away. Go on an adventure and save her. Do different temples and face the final foe. When it comes to story telling Zelda is damn near Mario level.

Worst Zelda game ever. The game was annoying as hell, had one of the most boring intros ever. They put a running feature in but the thing only lasted 4 seconds until you got tired and wasted 1 minutes catching your breath. The game had no overworld, how can a zelda game have no overworld? Ocarina of time, Windwaker, Twilight Princess, then Skyward Sword in order of greatest to least.
