I don't think there is a single terrible season but I agree things are definitely being rushed liked crazy.
Way too many huge events are being side paneled. (The battle/siege against the black fish being one of them).
The show overall is still one of my favorites of all time despite my worry that this last season will be the weakest due to them seemingly not having enough time to really flesh things out and explain things with the care it deserves.

I cant keep track on what nikkas call terrible anymore. Truth is, GOT is so far beyond average TV shows that even at its worst its still leagues above "terrible".

Big Bang Theory has terrible writing, How I met your Mother had terrible writing, Deadly Class and shyt like that are terrible. GOT is leagues above that shyt tier TV even when its fukking around in Dorne with bad fight choreography. I feel like the More shows we get that are great, the higher the bar for "terrible" keeps getting pushed. Its so high now that s7 of thrones is being shyt on? Damn...
Exactly. I don’t understand the criticism, people use words like worst and terrible to describe things are are pretty good and entertaining. And use words like GOAT and classic to describe anything that’s surprisingly better than average.

According the the internet terrible isn’t bad anymore, it’s just not the greatest ever.
I thought season 7 was great
Add Pawd da pipe gawd to that list...

Blessin us with RnB classic was bad news breh...:sadcam:

Whole episode was a setup...

Every character we haven't seen in a minute that's not a main and got screen time is probably getting killed...

Game of thrones got too big. I don’t think hbo thought it would be the biggest show in tv history. They had to go past the books and try to please everyone. Everyone is including the mindless girls that watch how I met your mother and Big Bang theory.

Honestly from what I hear about the books they’re gonna have the same problem. I think the detail that he goes into is amazing but there comes a point where it costs you in terms of moving the plot.

Now we gotta speed through these last 2 seasons because of the logistical elements of this being on TV. It’s gonna be kind of difficult for them to stick the landing with only 6 eps
Well put

the first half of the season i enjoyed. if only b/c it was cool to finally see characters reconnecting. i didnt even know theyd gone off the source material but something clearly felt off. i thought the dialog in the finale especially wasnt up to snuff at times.

It is probably the wackest season and has IMO the worst written episode of the series ("Beyond The Wall")....but it's still better than most TV.

As long as they stick the landing nobody is gonna give a fukk if 7 was wack, anyway.

Season 7 definitely had some logical issues but provided way more than enough moments for me to consider dope. Season 5 just dragged too much. I flew through the first 4 seasons like it wasn't shyt because I was so hyped watching it. During season 5 found myself losing focus and interest and had to force myself to power through. Flew through season 6 too.

Season 7 was rushed but I understood why and didn't mind it too much.

5 and 7 were the worst but both had enough memorable moments that I still enjoyed them. Hasn’t really a had a completely bad season to me.

Seasons 1-4 was the best tv series ever. It's been running off pure momentum since all the best actors are dead. I can't number how many times I've rewatched Tywin's scenes. I couldn't get through 1 replay of season 7. Straight drop trash like first two episodes of season 8

GRRM should've been more involved in the writing process....his books were perfect.

1-3 = GOAT levels.

4 was great but IMO already a step down. I can't stand Sam and Gilly, but that was mostly from the books. Yara trying to save Theon was S5-7 levels bad.

5-7 are pretty rough watches each season saved by a few standout episodes.

Every show has dips in quality, Sopranos/Wire/Breaking Bad etc. But I think at worst those shows just got a bit boring or repetitive. GoT S5-7 has all the marks of wackness from writing to performances. Making Sansa Ramsay's wife was a bad decision, the Dorne shyt was badly executed, so was Tyrion's journey. The writers had no idea what to do with Kings Landing, but that's easy to forget because of how brilliantly they ended all of that.

Still very entertaining though, honestly the first two episodes of S8 line up more with S5-7 than 1-3 so far.

7 had some good action scenes that people have been waiting on but the plot got plain stupid and it solidified that this shyt was going to end dumb as hell.

I'm still in it for the war and to see who's alive at the end. Game of Thrones went through the whole Simpsons lifecycle in 8 seasons
