Batista was the bigger appeal than john in 2005... the same john that was appearing on award shows, talk shows, having a damn rap album that went platinum, that john? Nah, like I said to wrestling fans, in 2005, maybe, but outside of that bubble no he was not. Cena was voted most popular wrestler in 2004. So it wasn't like batista was THAT much over than him in wrestling circles either.Non wrestling fans didn't give a damn about no batista. Him doing movies doesn't mean anything either. John got a movie before him aswell lol

If Roman was booked how he is, during Batista tenure, then yes.

However Roman has the problem of being the big dog, but the company failing him to provide a 'dance partner'. His stuff has been with Brock Lesnar, and really that defeats that, is that WWE is forced to make Roman/Brock because of incompetence. It's sort of like HHH Reign of Terror, but with Roman its more like he has no one to push him.

Triple H, even if he didn't have the belt was constantly the main character of RAW. shyt was straight unwatchable because he'd have like two segments. Sometimes, when I'm bored wfh, I'll play a couple of shows from that era and I have to fast-forward his shyt. In another life, he'd be a Youtube commentator because I don't think anyone can ramble for 20 straight minutes while not saying a thing, better than he can. With that said, he did put Batista mega-over, so it worked out despite everything dropping off the face of he earth when he first started his reign of terror.
