I was debating my white friend. He's sitting right here. He suggested we ask the coli :lupe:

So, is racism worse than it was before?

I don't see police spraying black people with high-powered fire hoses, so I'll say no...there have been worst times.

This is a stupid fukking question. There was a time in history where black people were considered 3/5ths of a person and now the President is half black. @Yuffie, the fukk do you think? :what:

I think it is worse. Systematically cism is more powerful than ever. However that's my stance for the sake of debate but i believe it to a certain extent.

Look at the President,he gets white people riled up more then OJ. Of course its worse. Now granted they arent going to say it to our face, they hide it in forms which some of us cant see.

Please explain how today's system is worse than a time when we were LITERALLY slaves. You're talking about DeFacto Discrimination as opposed to DeJure slavery, please explain how the former could possibly be worse than the latter :beli:

Iunno if I'd approach it as whether or not it's "worse than before". Institutional racism remains an active system but somehow a majority are disillusioned that we live in a post-racial society. I blame Quentin Tarantino and white liberals who brag about having voted for Obama.

It's a lot deeper than Tarantino, but you are definitely on point with the white liberal part. great post breh; institutional racism is not better or worse, but DIFFERENT as it transforms to match the political economy and the black masses' ability to resist...its called Black Racial Formation and Transformation Theory

The Tarantino part was a joke, but yes, 100%. You've been reading that Omi.
