Manipulating the market.

They can't pay every position.

Sure you can. You just got to stop paying some positions so much.

It's weird to me that QB's make so much money WHILE being so dependent on ever other position on the field to be productive. What is a QB doing for a team with a bad line, or bad running backs, or bad receivers?

It keeps negotiations for all other contracts in check. Keeps the locker room in check; usually with a white face

Ppl that know ball knew better than to believe that bs

RBs don’t matter? Lmao ok talk to me when you need a crucial 3rd and short in the playoffs and can’t get cuz ya RB sucks. Giants single handedly ruined that talking point by letting Saquon go to the Eagles and resigning Daniel fukking Jones instead.

Of course, it doesn’t mean you should pay an RB 100Ms but you’re an absolute fool if you think you can win a SB w/o a quality RB.

Technically they weren’t wrong considering their former teams were ass last year on the roster with them and still ass without them.

All 3 went to great situations, so of course they’d be thriving. Individually they wouldn’t be able to do it on their own.

Good point.

What's different about this year is good teams actually spent money on RBs. Usually the elite backs become free agents and go to bad teams with bad o-lines and bad previous running games.

E.g. like Edgerrin James in 2006 to Arizona

But now we've seen teams like the 9ers, Ravens, Eagles who could already run with lesser running backs swing for the fences with elite talent. And it certainly has helped. I wonder if more teams will do that.

The FA class next season isn’t that good I believe. If I’m someone like Henry though, I’m definitely asking for a contract extension during the off-season.

3 RB’s went from shytty teams to playoff teams and are balling and thats a gotcha to analytics

:ld:
It's like when you tell people that Lions, Eagles, and Packers were good teams before they added those backs and the teams that previously had those backs on the roster sucked even with them, it blows their mind.

No proponent of using data in sports has ever said the running game was unimportant.
