Is pedophilia really prevalent in the black community?

Yeah it's a serious elephant in the room.
Some people in my family that I know of.

An aunt that was molested by a family friend for years.

A younger cousin who was being molested by his uncle who was only 5yrs older than him.

A friend from high school that I was real cool with come to find out his older brother who he used to brag about and praise all the time was molesting him.(That shyt killed me cause they'd play basketball together at the rec)

I heard of more black boys then black girls

An extended family member was raped by one of her siblings. Someone else I knew was almost molested by her teacher but someone walked in. These things are family secrets that everyone knows but no one talks about. I've also heard a lot of black women I've dated tell me they've been raped. At the AU in Atlanta there been a string of sexual assaults against black women. It got so bad brehd organized and started walking the girls to their dorms at night and patrolling the area.

You can't have serious discussions about shyt like this online. There's a lot of white devils in black face on this site that would derail anything productive. If I get some free time I'm gonna volunteer to patrol the streets with them dudes. That's the type of shyt I wanna be a part of.

You know good and damn well they are calling 19 year olds dating 15-16 year old pedofiles also and to me that quite frankly isn't pedofilia...And a lot of the teenage girls that get pregnant it isn't by a dude the same age it's by a guy whose a few years older...

I know most of the hood cats know this scene far to perfect when you leave high school you always see the escalades, Lexus, box Chevys out and about to pick up the prettiest chicks these aren't your classmates usually these are older dudes from there hoods....Practically every girl has had at least one older dude while they were in school we used to call em chesters but to be honest that can be considered pedofilia because what does a 19-21 year old dude need with a 16 year old girl.

but what countermeasures are you taking to prevent paedophila in your community, give examples like are you apart of an organization? Do you counsel child victims, and adult victims who were molestated at a young age? Are you volunteering at your local homeless shelter? Are you educating single mothers on the dangers of having a boyfriend she barely knows around her children? Have you donated to any cause that is for rehabilitating paedophiles and preventing sexually assault against minors?

I work in psychiatry and one of things I do in residency is to volunteer at local shelters (battered women, women and children and men's) providing basic counseling. You'll be surprised on how far people are willing to go to promote a sense of normalcy mentally in their lives.

I'm applaud you for taking action offline, and not just providing useless Internet commentary drivel and monosyllabic responses. It's telling how many people never get past the addressing stage when it comes to social issues.
