The bronx, das right by Harlem right? like across the bridge or something ?

Every hood in NYC is no more longer than 1 hour away from each other. Thats what makes it so dangerous, and im glad that Blood/Crip thing you ******s in Cali champion so much didn't gain much footing, because it could have been MUCH worse than it is today.

I woke up one morning over my homies crib, and some nikkaz pulled up outside startin shyt, so I told my homie, "go get the biscuit, kid". nikka came to the front door with an actual biscuit and some strawberry jelly:snoop: I ate the shyt, but I meant go get the gun:heh:

yea theres like 4 bridges in harlem that take u right into the south bronx. fordham road is higher up than harlem but its still considered south bronx. fordham road crosses over into inwood which is more dominican than black but still hood in its own way. inwood nikkas are more about hustling tho so it isnt as violent cause everybody trying to keep their spots from getting hot. my little cousin just got robbed in inwood 2 weeks ago for his phone tho :snoop:
from what it seem like from what i gather its like

Brooklyn nikkas give off bummy grimey nikka vibe. Like they actually never want to leave the hood, would shoot a nikka for walkn on they block type of nikkas. even the way they talk compared to the rest of NY nikkas, is just a little bit more harder and deeper(no homo pause :whoa: )

Harlem nikkas give off a flashy vibe like they crown themselves the unofficial kings of NYC

Bronx nikkas seem like a mix between brooklyn and and harlem nikkas

and queens nikkas, seem like that lil nikka that hung around brooklyn, and always tried to get brooklyn respect by tryna 1 up everything he do. Big homie brooklyn got locked up so queens finally get his time to shine. When brooklyn get out, he see his lil homie queens got a name for himself in the streets now, but now Queens feelin himself too much and dont even fucc wit him no more

Stat Island seem like that distant cousin, u never really fool wit dem, but u kno dey doin dey thing and got they own shyt goin on

from my experience, nyc nikkas are way too selfish and greedy to be in collective gangs like that. thats why the shyt never gained too much traction. i remember this one dude i knew was a crip gang leader and he got his jaws wired shut by his own gang over money issues. another kid i knew was a blood and dudes in his set ended up fighting each other and the whole thing just broke off with snitching and backhanded shyt. even trinitarios which is supposed to be a dominican gang made to protect dominicans are on some shyt going out robbing other dominicans and beefing with other dominican gangs.

im a NY nikka all the way but we too greedy and selfish for gang life :camby:

Thats porlly just knew nikkas in general

Even in texas, nikkas in they own set stay beefin with each other, and sets where im at right now are ALOT smaller than sets in NYC and LA, im talking some sets(really called cliccs out here) are small as hell and nikkas still beef wit each other. and most the time its over a bytch, not even money :why:

yea u right. the blood and crip thing is still very much alive everywhere else except here tho. i havent felt a huge gang presence in a good 5 years out here and i go all over.

except when i went to east new york 2 months ago :merchant: nikkas is still stuck in the crack era out there.

I love where New York is right now ...it can be better, but why would anyone want to live in a "hard" city?

No it's not get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and that's your ass... even in gentrified areas too. The black neighborhoods tho are the worst.

That's what irks me ...it's all pretty everywhere else then you go to the black neighborhoods and it's REAL ...I had a job in the hood and got off late, I remember saying "good evening" to this old man and he was like "fukk yo p*ssy ass suit wearing ass".

For a second I almost unraveled all my hard work and thug rehabilitation over the years ...but I just walked off like "I love you too brother", and kept walking.
The next night someone was shot multiple times on that same corner.

This was September 2013 if that matters.

as someone before said the gentrification is making shyt more tense. Dudes is losing territory and fighting over what's left. With more white people come more policing... shyt goes by blocks more than by hoods you'll have a nice block then 4 shytty blocks, unless you live in a place like brownsville which is all fukked up. I been there breh ... shaking off the street life is super hard (I'm not sure if you can ever 100% shake it off), especially when most people you know are still in it and dudes that are 40-50 still with it. That's new york for you though, it's not like the whites (natives not yuppies) or hispanics aren't partcipating it's just that the eye is on black people because they're the most feared.

I don't know about soft or hard.
There are some rough areas in NYC.

But I'm kinda proud that NYC has gotten a better reputation lately as a friendly city.
It was a lot worse in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
