I don't think Nas picks horrible beats but a lot of his beat don't really move me. I've never been a big Salaam Remi fan. He makes dark moody beats, but they don't blow me away or make me nod my head. Nas' beats hurt his replay-ability for me, which sucks cuz I love his lyricism but rarely go back to his later albums. Illmatic is still my GOAT, though.

Your point make no sense. You obsessed with Nas record sales, when nobody else his age bracket outside Eminem is selling more. KD1 and KD2 outsold the Snoop and Dre project that had 10 times more promo. Outsold the most recent projects from LL, Busta, Jada, Fab, Rick Ross, T.I., Jeezy and a bunch of other rappers but it's Nas sales you can't stop talking about.
