I always felt like One Mic was the catalyst for Eminem to make Lose Yourself. I have nothing to back this up but the timing and Em mentions and the fact that when Stillmatic dropped it dominated the ears for a good long while.

At that moment Nas and Eminem were both untouchable and felt like they were circling each other.
