I'll take Tyson forever until someone as bonafide comes along. I was lucky enough to see many Tyson recorded fights on VHS and there's nothing like it. Too strong too fast too good.
nah...prime foreman (who mike was scared to death of), ali and any version of lennox washes tyson

liston would've bodied tyson too and frazier would've given him hell just off gp cos of his pressure cooker style, left hook and the fact he wouldn't have been shook of him.

i'd have loved to have seen tyson vs earnie shavers or ron lyle...lawd a mighty the hayemakers being thrown:wow:

For all of you detractors, I was alive watching the actual broadcast. Sportwriters at the weigh-in (which was on ESPN/Tyson showed up late) and the HBO commentators prior to the start of the fight (Merchant/Lampley/Leonard) were complaining that Mike had maybe over-trained for the fight. If Tyson wasn't in shape, he wouldn't have lasted 10 rounds. Douglas was hemming him up from the first bell. The only clear round you can say that Tyson won in that fight was the 8th (the knockdown round..

I'll go on the tc-boxing torrent site to get the full HBO broadcast.

Here's Oliver McCall interview on the fight.

youngest hw to unify belts

based on that alone, yes

over-rated by many, but to place him out of the top 10 is to vastly under-rate him

I’m still pissed off from that 2000 Lewis V Tyson bout where Lennox talked ALL that shyt about ko’ing Tyson but then hugged him out the entire match :comeon:
