Shaq would destroy kareem

x6a5j5.gif

Who was 20 pounds lighter than this guy^ and no where near as good defensively

i'm a shaq fan from LSU days to orlando then to my lakers. but lets be honest here.you're to young to remember kareem. so you dont realize if he schooled hakeem and sampson. he would've surely schooled shaq.
you think shaqs strength and size would be to much but like an above poster said, Hakeem ABUSED shaq, shaq admitted as much. oh you think we're lying.

^^watch it, then watch the 3's start raining. how is that? because hakeem was KILLING shaq downlow to the point of him being in early foul trouble. then you see Horace guarding hakeem and guys doubling. shaq comes back in. gets some more schooling then the magic start doubling, kick out> For THREEEEE.

shaq had no answer for hakeem. and it hurt my heart to see it. cause that was my dude back then. but i respected hakeem to the fullest after watching him dismantle the diesel like that. remember hakeem was technically 6'10 and change. he wasnt close to 7 feet. for a center. shaq was like 7-1. kareem is taller then that. with longer wingspan, still quick moves in his PRIME. and the invincible sky hook. shaq would've been abused by a young cap. believe it.

kareem schooling all of em including the old shaq(WILT)

I just said hakeem was the most skilled C EVER him dominating a 24 year old shaq was expected.I am too young to remember kareem cuz he retired when I was like 11.

I'm not saying kareem couldn't operate but shaq also dominated Better defensive C's than kareem was facing how could kareem defend shaq?

Shaq made defensive players of the year look hopeless

Yea salley made it sound like Mike didn't drop 61,59,57,51,48,49 and several games in the 30's on the pistons

This was Before the bulls beat them.Mike always got off the bulls as a team couldn't beat the pistons

Yeah thats true... Lol man to me jordan was the best player ive ever seen play. But to compare jordan to kareem is dumb, jordan cant stop kareem down low and kareem cant stop jordan off the dribble. All you can do is look at the players individually. But I will say it's hard to compare dominant players at diff positions, could kareem shoot like mj? No, could he dribble like mj? No. could mj domimate on the block? No? Could mj rebound like kareem? No. 2 completely diff players. But looking at the sum of all parts ill say mj had a lil bit of everything and dominant at a few of those things.

Well Shaq won 3/4

Duncan won 3/4

The Dream has 2/2

The no child left behind act has failed you.

If I wake up early enough I'll write a letter to my state representative.

Read and comprehend son.

First of all, Duncan is a PF will go down in the HOF as a PF.

Second, I said centers NBA finals MVPs are in a class by themselves and that says a lot.

You gotta be young to reply with something like this and that's fine.

When you get a chance, "google" how many centers won "finals mvp" as opposed to guards and get back at me.

Then I want you to compare and contrast and tell me why was that so. If done correctly, you should start to learn the game of basketball.

He was 38 when that happened and on defense he would get ate by shaq

Hakeem got over on shaq cuz Olajuwon is a top 3 defender and the most skilled C of all time.

WOOHOO!! My bad. Yall nikkas so slow. I saw this, I didn't have to google it. My point is, Kareem was WAAYYYYYYY past his prime and Kareem gave the bidness to an all time great in Hakeem and a hell of a player in Sampson.

"He was 38 when it happened" What's the damn difference. The internet is killing the nikka breed. I sware yall the type of nikkas that cry at weddings and shyt

Back that statement up. Shaq is a beast and is somewhat underrated still. But you too young to see Kareem, so how you know he faced lesser post defense?

He's the GOAT, but the discrepancy between him and some of the all time greats slightly beneath him is vastly overstated by casual fans and Bulls fanatics.

It's not like you can't put names like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, etc in the same sentence with dude.

13 times outta 44 a center has won finals MVP! The most for any single position, and how is it fair to compare 1 postition too 2?

thats because just like hakeem did shaq. what did hakeem as small as he was in comparison to shaq. what did the dream do to shaq to slow shaq? he got him into FOUL TROUBLE> you dont stop shaq by playing defense. you cant. you abuse him on the other end. expose his average post defense vs real skilled post players. kareem would've done the exact same thing. he would've went at shaq, got him into foul trouble, schooled whoever they brought in to help out. then waited for shaq to check back in, and schooled him some more to more foul trouble. Thats how you do it.

its similular to how one would beat jordan. you aint STOPPING mike per se. but you could score back on mike if you're athletic enough and skilled enough, while being tall enough.

for example. if a prime mike had to play a prime kobe. mike would be in foul trouble. so would kobe.

I just find it funny that so many of you just default to MJ for anything basketball related.

You hear the word basketball and before any topic or parameters are set, y'al yell out "Michael Jordan!"

Who's the greatest bas-......"Michael Jordan!"

And yet many of you never saw the first half of his career. I'm older than some of y'all and I didnt even start watching bball til like '89.

Greatest NBA player ever? Ehh, maybe....it depends on your criteria though.

Greatest basketball player ever? Probably not. There's tons of people who never made it to the NBA due to a variety of reasons who could have been as good or possibly better.

Ya shout out to my nicca Loop!

Big Loop > MJ
