It was very good but No. It really wasn't even really a superhero movie to tell the truth. I'd put The Dark Knight, Winter Soldier, The Watchmen, Ironman, Civil War, and the 1st Avengers above it.

The Winter Soldier isn't soft and Logan has a good story with plenty of character work. They're both dope but for different reasons. But they're both obviously two completely different movies and I don't just mean that because one has cap and the other has wolverine. One is a PG flick and the other is R. One is a spy movie and the other is a western. They're both character studies about old men but the winter soldier deals with realizing just how much the world has changed around you while Logan is about just how much you've changed while the world around you has changed and doing "one last job"

They're both perfect flicks for the characters and have a lot to say. I ride with Logan on this one because of the social shyt it has to say and the allegory the x men always are, but thats like saying I'd rather have pizza instead of spaghetti. Can't go wrong either way

It's in my top five. This had so much emotion and so much love for the characters. That whole dinner scene turned from :myman: to :damn:. Laura calling him "Daddy" hit me hard at the end. :sadbron:The Wolverine was my first Mangold film I watched and Logan places him on my radar now. If he had the reigns of the character from jump, good God what a trilogy we would have had.:banderas:

Then I saw this after watching it. :mjcry:

The director's cut was better than the original comic IMO. I preferred the nuclear fall out over the monster from the book. It was beautifully shot and the story told on the screen was amazing. That Bob Dylan intro alone with all those different scenes with the background on all the characters from the book :blessed:

I've got the blu which has the directors cut and the whole 9. I like it but I don't think it's THAT dope. That opening is awesome but I think Snyder missed the point of the comic by being so slavish to it, if that makes any sense. It's definitely a gorgeous flick though and of course its an interesting story but I just think he was way too literal and on the nose with shyt. Like the "what happened to the american dream?" "It came true" exchange. Funny enough, I think batman v superman and man of steel are better deconstructions than watchmen, which is all about deconstruction.
