I don't take "successful" rappers comments at face value. too many politics & buddy systems.
jeezy was bigger than both of them.
as for tip, it wasn't the case that hurt him. it was the fact that "ti vs tip" was a wack album. if anything, the case was the best thing to happen to his career, because it took the focus off of his garbage LP, and made him even bigger. in a real rap era, where the music mattered the most, that album would've ended his career.
calling someone overrated, doesn't mean they weren't dope.
but for the record, you can indeed be both wack & polarizing at the same dam time.
