Hes statistically worse in every category then when he played with Lebron. Pts, rebounds and assists are all down and hes shooting 44% from the field compared to 47% in Cleveland

Id say its more Danny Ainge getting guys like Jaylon Brown and Tatum who are balling out

But we can revisit this thread in May

The best overreactions I've seen so far are the ones claiming that Kyrie's 21-3-5 on 43% shooting is an "MVP-caliber season" :russ:

It's not an indictment on LeBron as much as it's an indictment on the arguments against Kyrie's game being a detriment to a non-LeBron ran system. Some ppl made it seem like Kyrie on Boston was gonna be a colossal failure and made it seem like LeBron was his safety net. Kyrie's game was good enough for LeBron as his sidekick and it's good enough for Boston. LeBrons game is good enough to win championships. Neither side looks bad..no matter how bad Cleveland may seem now.

Eh..I don't know, maybe Kyrie was a better fit than current Wade, Rose. Only time and IT will tell.
I always felt Kyrie/LeBron was a better fit than LeBron/Wade. Even when Wade fell back there was still that awkwardness.

It's funny because most knowledgeable people realized Boston was likely to be a great fit for him because he's basically a better version of IT3.

part of LeBron's aura (media narrative anyway) was that he could play with anyone and elevate anyone.

but it looks like it was the other way around, and it was Kyrie that was elevating LeBron and the Cavs

Playing the best defense while winning games. Typical bron stans, ignoring defense.
Hes playing great D, you can say that much that he wasnt as poor a defender as analysts said, but his offense has suffered.

Also im pretty sure he went to 3 finals with Lebron and its only november with the Celtics.

Lets see if you bytch ass haters are around come May

It's an indictment on Bron Ball.

First off, Kyrie had the ball in his hands for more minutes last year than Lebron did yet had far fewer assists than Bron. It was a great offense, but when the offense stalled it stalled on Kyrie's isolation plays when he wasn't even looking to pass, not on Lebron who was clearly always keeping an eye out to keep teammates involved.

Second off, what you call "Bron Ball" produced one of the greatest offensive efficiencies in basketball history.

But because a great coach convinced Kyrie to finally give up the ball and not run so much isolation this year, which means that the Celtics have an offense that's humming even though Kyrie has fewer points and fewer assists with worse efficiency, that proves that Bron Ball and not Kyrie's selfishness was the problem?

:heh:

Ya'all will try to use literally anything to take down Lebron. :dead:
