The only argument it pokes holes in is that Kyrie is unable to be apart of a winning culture on his own. Although Boston created this winning culture without him.

The fact remains that the Cavs were a lottery team before Lebron, and in the NBA finals ever year with him. Nothing is going to ever disprove that.

Idk, but it's an indictment on the "Kyrie is trash without Bron" Narrative if anything. :yeshrug: Like it was supposed to be easy running an offense (Whatever offense there is to run, that is) that's decidedly not catered to your style of play with older pieces that you don't mesh well with. Now dude is thriving as his own man for the time being with a bunch of young dudes who are gonna he thankful as fukk for these minutes come playoff time, a supposed coaching prodigy, and seemingly the most happy he's been as a player in years. And this is all with the dude who was supposed to be his #2 gone for the season

Kobe snitched on Shaq
Hes statistically worse in every category then when he played with Lebron. Pts, rebounds and assists are all down and hes shooting 44% from the field compared to 47% in Cleveland

Id say its more Danny Ainge getting guys like Jaylon Brown and Tatum who are balling out

But we can revisit this thread in May

Didn't the Celtics make the ECF last year while featuring a 5'8" castoff from the Kings? :jbhmm:

Kyrie is doing a better job of playing within an offensive system, but we're 10 games into the first Kyrie-led winning season ever and he's surrounded by talent with a great coach, so give it a bit of time before making ridiculous declarations.

Boston's players that came over from last year - Horford, Smart, Rozier - are playing the same as they did before. Besides Kyrie, the main additions this year are that Brown has made a big sophomore leap and Tatum looks special. So we're basically saying, "Kyrie-Tatum-Brown is approximately as good as IT-Bradley-Crowder." What exactly does that prove about Kyrie that we didn't already know?

Why would Kyrie playing within a system be an indictment on Lebron and not on Kyrie, or all the coaches Kyrie had before Stevens? Didn't Kyrie credit Stevens for teaching him how to play differently?

Or was developing Kyrie into a team player supposed to be Papa Lebron's responsibility too? :sas1::sas2:

LeBron is a teammate killer, its been known. any player that plays next to lebron will not get their stats.

LeBron is so unselfish and passes so damn much, yet his all-star teammates always drop off in performance,

:jbhmm:

Kyrie has his best season and won a chip next to bron and before the knee injuries wade was still putting up prime numbers next to bron:patrice: could it be that you’re full of shyt

It's not an indictment on LeBron as much as it's an indictment on the arguments against Kyrie's game being a detriment to a non-LeBron ran system. Some ppl made it seem like Kyrie on Boston was gonna be a colossal failure and made it seem like LeBron was his safety net. Kyrie's game was good enough for LeBron as his sidekick and it's good enough for Boston. LeBrons game is good enough to win championships. Neither side looks bad..no matter how bad Cleveland may seem now.

Eh..I don't know, maybe Kyrie was a better fit than current Wade, Rose. Only time and IT will tell.

part of LeBron's aura (media narrative anyway) was that he could play with anyone and elevate anyone.

but it looks like it was the other way around, and it was Kyrie that was elevating LeBron and the Cavs
