Kobe goes stretches where he ignores them completely. Instead of giving them the ball, he jacks up shots and hits them at a low clip.

You really going to bring up the Thunder series? Kobe lost 2 games where he ball hogged down the stretch. Kobe came up small in the 4th quarter in game 2 and in game 4. We had leads in both games.

Kobe shot terribly last year. Only a stan would argue otherwise. His shot selection was the worst I've ever seen.

I'm a kobe fan, but dudes shot selection is truly horrid and anybody who says otherwise is delusional.

There are two parts to the argument:

1. Do the Lakers as a franchise get their money's worth for what they pay Kobe? The answer to that is yes and it's a no brainer.

2. Do the Lakers as a basketball team get their money's worth for what they pay Kobe? The answer to that is a definite no. With the current salary cap and CBA, there are much better uses of $25-$30 million in this league when you only look at on court production. Durant, Westbrook, and Harden could be had for what Kobe is being paid.

They are still on their 1st contracts plus extensions so no you can't get a OKC trio for what Kobe makes because you'd have to draft them and the Lakers don't finish that low to draft that kind of talent. the NBA is built around 1-2 stars and quality role players. Or else you get the Nuggets

Kevin Durant + 2-3 quality roleplayers can be had for Kobe's salary. LeBron James + 2-3 quality roleplayers can be had for Kobe's salary. He's overpaid when you look at it from a basketball point of view. The only salaries even close to what Kobe is making are from other aging veterans that are also overpaid.

He's making 25 million and he's producing like most of the guys on the list making 14-16 million.
