i considered silva one of the goats, but i thiknk hes been popped 2x for roids, and now i question his entire legacy :snoop:

JJ been popped, but it looks like contamination or something, as opposed to knowingly taking a substance

silva on the other hand, appears to have been taking roids for performance intentionally

it also doesnt help that chael sonnen literlaly beat the breaks off of silva for 4.5 rounds

JJ never been dominated by anyone, closest was gustafson who had his moments, but never dominated like silva was

Maaaan that accident shyt is dumb.. no excuses for man in a can ass nikkas. nikka just do cardio eat right and lift weights...

And jj never got dominated cuz he lanky and cuz it ain’t no depth in that sport. 90% of them nikkas have garbage hands. Put jj in there with Anthony Johnson with a good tank ....jj might have went to sleep breh. His greatest attribute is his god given lankiness . He ain’t got hands either

Anthony Johnson beating Jon Jones is like expecting the Sacremento Kings to beat the 1992 Bulls.

-You can't actively be the best when you can't fight to prove it.
-You can't actively be the best when your performances are asterisked (is that even a word?) by PEDs

With that said, does Jon Jones rank top 3 P4P all time for me? Yes.

I know I'm late posting here but IMO if you just look at the most impressive in-ring performances, that Jon Jones is the best in UFC history, followed by Anderson Silva.

During the PED era I tend to think most of the fighters were on them, but if you are one of the people that wants to use the asterix due to the PED stuff for those guys, then I think you have to go to GSP.

GSP started fighting mad boring after Serra finished him in 2007, but GSP has a strong argument. He's good at every part of the game. He avenged his only two losses with finishes (although he should've lost that decision to Jonhy Hendricks). He fought several eras of athletes in possibly the deepest division in the UFC (170 lbs), and maybe most importantly, he came back after a long layoff in a heavier weight division and looked better than he had in almost a decade in his win over Bisping for the 185 title. The knock against GSP is that he became so risk averse that I think it hurt him.

But no one in the UFC has ever looked as amazing in the ring as Jones and Silva. I mean they just made world class opponents look like amateurs.

Aldo defended his shyt for a decade and was already a living legend before McGregor was famous. He didnt need to stake a claim, it was a perfect lucky punch that put msgregor on the map
I'm dapping you because I'm Nova Uniao myself and Aldo is one of my favorite fighters ever. I think he's the GOAT fethwerweight and a top 5 pfp fighter of all time.

But I don't think the Conor punch was lucky. Conor drilled that sequence over and over, and it just happened to come during the first engagement of the fight. As much as I haConor is just a bad style match for Aldo, and it really sucks to say that. I was rooting for Aldo, I think the UFC was fukked up for putting out Aldo's backstage footage of him breaking down after the loss in his private locker room, and I think his reign over that division was so brilliant that he should've been allowed a rematch.
