How much were they discussed during and after the run? How much credit they get? How often is that brought up to big them up 3 years later?

No one is saying he's not an elite QB. I specified posts later that it's more about how he gets passes other QB's don't, and it's more about that than him being overrated, although if you put him in the same tier as Mahomes, Lamar, and Allen, then he's overrated because it's clear that they have tools he does not.
.Mahomes, Lamar, and Allen do NOT get the same passes that Burrow does. That doesn't even seem debatable to me. Lamar would be torn to shreds if the Ravens missed the playoffs, even with his current numbers.

NFL is a weird sport in that different people play and coach offense and defense. I wonder how the locker room vibe is when a team has a top 2 worst defense in the league and top 2 offense.

I guess if you care about what talking heads say. He’s a great QB. Making the super bowl probably bought him some good graces. Not making the big game is what people get on Lamar & Josh for. Joe is a great QB tho, you guys can hide behind the “overrated” terminology but this thread has just become a vehicle to tear down a great player. What’s the point of it, to say he’s not as great as some of the best QBs to ever play the game? Is that supposed to be some mark on him? The timing of when this thread was made can’t be ignored either. The guy has balled out all season, he’s leading a top offense. He’s doing his thing, I don’t see the point in upping this thread at this point. I don’t find it distasteful if people want to put him in the top tier
I don't think anyone is tearing him down, but I do get what you are saying about the terminology. The thread was more about him getting passes, and I believe I made this after the Bengals lost to the Patriots.
I've been consistent in what I've said in that I believe he is a top four QB, but definitely not first, second, or third.
.Of course I'd take him on the Patriots in a heartbeat. And, I'm not one that thinks wins should be a QB stat. This isn't the NBA where one player can have a much greater impact on a game.

They got a lot of credit. The fans were pissed when they let all the defensive guys go and didn't replace them with shyt. Burrow had nothing do own with a cheap owner not paying talent. And your question has NOTHING to do with this thread title. And you are proving my point. Burrow ain't the problem and compared to the other guys he's playing 2 vs 22. Since yall want Burrow to play Defense and kick field goals. Like Lamar, Josh, and Pat playing defense and kicking field goals
Give Burrow a average D and he's in the super bowl every year

What top tier/elite QB is gonna escape criticism for missing the playoffs (expanded mind you) in his prime? If anything the criticism is an indicator of his elite status. Bu...bu...but his defense. Bu...bu...but everything isnt exactly perfect around him so its ok if he misses the playoffs...I mean look at the numbers is actually something that would be said about a less than elite QB.

And, even in the five TD game he had against the Ravens, he made THE critical error in the game, a brutal INT. Lamar and Allen would get torn to shreds over that.
Again, a five passing TD game is sensational, but you can't gloss over that in a divisional game. It was a horrid INT.
Edit: And, no, I'm not saying Burrow is the reason they may not make the playoffs, but you can have all the numbers in the world, but if you're taking sacks and throwing INT's in decisive moments, that should be part of the discussion as well.
