He was always a guy that needed to be built up through the card but with the brand split being what it is, a lot of guys get title reigns prematurely or reigns they shouldn't have at all.

A smarter brand split, my brand split, solves all this.

Put him together with the Balor Club and let them run Smackdown for a year

Anderson and Gallows


And you could have Naka, Roode, Uso's and others form a rival stable

But Raw will take Naka in the next brand split and bury him for a year along with others... I swear to god they need to hire me to come in and teach them how to do this shyt properly... I could give you storylines for everyone for a year with brand splits

Brock needs to drop the strap though at this point.. the universal title (the absent champion) is devalued because the champ only shows up once a month to wrestle

Why do people dislike kicks so much when there's guys who spam punches too? I'm legit asking cause I've heard people offline say he kicks too much too.

It makes psychological sense for him to use kicks to chop down his opponent.

Dude was a flop in NXT too if you look past the smark favoritism. Dude's championship reign was garbage, he couldn't carry a feud to save his life and pretty much started the awful trend of "this guy has no character or charisma, here's a video of him working his way up through the indies for your approval" that Trips uses for every generic wrestler that will never draw a dime.

I'm sure at this point Trips' approval is the only thing preventing Vince from dumping his ass in 205 Live.

This is exactly when I knew he was over rated

When he got that title in nxt that is when nxt lost a lot of steam. His feuds were garbage and his matches were always okay but never that great and his character was bland

I won’t mind at all when he goes back to Japan

That's Just booking...just because Roman is in everyone's face doesn't mean he's the best anything. He's just given alot. Braun and AJ have been the difference makers this year on both shows next to the Miz.

I've never seen the appeal of him that others have seen from the start. The guy is more than solid but I never have thought that he was the next big star for the E either. He doesn't have the charisma and the charm to be something like that.

Smack down was carried on AJ and the Usso's back this entire year, and Braun/Miz carried RAW


I don't even think it's debatable. One can mention Brock Lesnar, but he sporadically appears so I wouldn't even count him..

He's a special appearance type at this point.

I don't think he's flopped. Let's just call a thing a thing: There are a lot of people on boards and online who aren't feeling him because of his size or because he's an "indy vanilla midget" he's just never gonna be able to get them to ride his wave. That is what it is. But if you go to a live show and hear the pops he gets or see that Balor merch here, there, and everywhere you realize real quick he's very much good with a whole lot of the fanbase.

I love me some Prince Devitt so I am a little biased but I don't think he's flopped. I do think he's struggling a bit but he's got the same problem as 90% of the roster and its bad booking combined with no long term plan for a character arc. There are so many people on both brands who are over af being completely misused or totally wasted (Becky, Shinsuke, Sasha, even Joe because we should be getting a Joe/Roman IC title feud instead of him reheating old beef with Seth) that at some point they're gonna have to deal with the issues in creative or those empty seats are gonna be harder and harder to hide. He's fortunate in that he hasn't been buried a la Bayley but he does need a meaningful feud and some significant wins.
