"lookin at me" was a hit, but the noreaga stuff is what blew the neptunes up.
but yea, my overall outlook is that i hated them at 1st and wasnt impressed by most of their corny radio hits but they had good beats on most wanted's album, 504 boyz joint, etc. i even remember that clipse song from like 2000 but i had no clue it was them. and i still have to check that album out. lol.
then they stepped their game up around 2002.
i have them in the top 20 right along with people like timbaland and swizz beatz.

It wuz and is embarrasing these dudes will go down in history as being far better producers than guys like Johnny J....and guys like Mannie Fresh,Shawty Redd,Beats By The Pound,U Neek,Toomp....Fukin Neptunes is supposed to be sum kinda legends on the level of Dr Dre,Just Blaze,Timbaland? Why cuz they did a lot of production for the east coast biggest hits? Oh ok good reason

Lookin at me was a bigger hit than "Superthug". Therefor as I said, it was their breakout beat. They owe Puff big time cause "Harlem World" sold 4x Platinum so more people heard that album than Nore's album so it really got their name out there.
