because the matches weren't anything special...they didn't click like that in the ring

The Iron Man Match is better than anything Cripple H ever did with Michaels. He's lucky..well..they both are that the crowd didn't start chanting "BORING" at Bad Blood 04. And the Rumble 04 match ended with "BULLshyt" chants. And fans hated them working so much by WM XX that Benoit was treated like the biggest face of the night behind Eddie and Austin.

Of course Rock/Austin was the bigger deal and was huge box office and rightfully so, they were the biggest names and had great a great chemistry together that resulted in great matches, but their rivalry always had a hint of a friendly/mutal respect vibe rather than deep hate/distain ..and i happened to like both Rock and Austin which is why i think i enjoyed Rock/HHH just as much if not more than Rock/Austin because it was so much easier to choose a side because EVERYBODY hates HHH, and you always got the feeling that Rock/HHH legit hated each other and nothing gave me more pleasure as a fan then seeing Rock son HHH verbally on the mic back then, and follow that up by kicking his ass in the ring

Rock tried to kill Austin in 1999. Tossed him right off a bridge. Austin didn't get that vile..he used to fukk up Rock's car and that kind of stuff but the bridge thing, the Funeral for Austin promo, and that sit down with Jim Ross when Rock was just remorseless. There was nothing friendly about it. They didn't show a hint of friendship until that one Raw where they booked Rock vs Austin in the main event with the Corporate Ministry as lumberjacks and they attacked the Lumberjacks instead of wrestling each other. They both got tossed off the stage while Undertaker and Cripple H stood high. That was it. That was when it seemed they were working together. They were bashing each other like hell in promos..even as "faces", as we all remember on the first episode on Smackdown. Crowd didn't want to pop too loud for each other talking burying the other during the face off though. They were that just that damn over.

As for the iron man match between Rock and HHH. That is mainly remembered for the return of Taker and his new look. The crowd went crazy after that. That was the highlight of the night, not the match.
