What kept Rock vs HHH from being the greatest rivalry of that generation was HHH's jealousy of the Rock.


HHH was more concerned with trying to cut Rock off at the knees than trying to give the best performance he possibly could. Damn near every big match they ever had involved some sort of clusterfukk finish.

Their first match for the IC title is the ONLY one I can think of that had a clean finish.

yeah...i've talked about it a lot because I've watched it a few times but when rock was DESTROYING hhh in damn near worked shoot status RIGHT before he hit the ring at fully loaded, HHH looked FURIOUS and was legit swearing on camera begging him to come out to the ring...dude looked like he wanted to stiff rocky real bad. They brought out the best in each other

i really do not believe cripple ache had chemistry with the rock.
it is just rocky was that good of a performer.
who had enough talent to rampup.
that he was always capable of carrying cripple ache.
if not for cripple ache being the in-law.
he would have never drew to realistically be involved in the me scene in the wwf.
especially after the rock eclipsed him after the ladder match.
which was another decision based upon logistics of politics.
not actual inring workrate or talent as a promo.
