This album felt like a flop compared to the last one. Still no visuals, but no tour either this time

Is there any example of a more reclusive artist with as much popularity as Beyonce?
Beyoncé is a great example to show how streaming extends the careers of megastars because they don’t need huge hits and moments anymore to be relevant

The album wasn’t promoted and she’s a legacy artist

I mentioned it in a previous thread, but Beyonce is going to have to start getting out there and promoting her own shyt as the name and allure just doesn't carry like it used to especially in this day and age.

Posters and fans themselves were on some take back the genre talk when the album came out and went right back to not giving a damn about country music :mjlol:

Fam...she announced the album during the Super Bowl.
:dead:

She had a noteworthy director shoot an album promo on some Americana/Paris, Texas vibes. Levis got involved with some jeans collabs. There was a large campaign. It's ok to admit that once the allure of playing victim over country radio's reactions to the music faded, the (black) fans lost interest. Meanwhile the white girls she was targeting were focused on new Taylor Swift music. Then Shaboozey ended up with the real country hit record lol. I'm never gonna call it a failure or flop given that she's a legacy artist who still sells records but that album wasn't it. And that's now two albums in a row where a lot of her fans didn't get exactly what they wanted or expected. They keep expecting a SZA album, basically.

What is a mainstream artist? Because plenty mainstream artists albums had runs shorter than that

Right

It charted for 6 months

With no music videos and no performances

Wouldn't say it's a complete flop or even a flop at all

Think the biggest "problem" with the album was that it was too country, folky for her fan base

And too experimental for country fans
