Is it ok for Africans, Black Europeans, or Afro Latinos to say the n-word?

You do realize people have been saying the N word in the Caribbean for centuries right? I have several older (80+ year old) relatives that I've heard say the n word. It's just pronounced differently than it is in America.
I've lived about a 15 minute walk away from Flatbush, Brooklyn (the neighborhood, not just the street) since 2006. I've been tight was Caribbeans for the last 25 years, since college. They don't use the word heavy. Maybe it has existed in the past but it's not a normal part of their lexicon like it is for us. For better or worse that word just comes out of our mouths, so it's ours and ours alone.

For context, for those who want to argue with me about this, as an ADOS I'm going to do my best to not say other cultures' bad words either: c00lie, d0ugla, k4fir, etc. I don't know why y'all insist on defying us when we tell y'all certain words aren't for y'all to say.

why do you only speak using emojis, writing was invented over 5000 years ago... i don't miss having to search for the right pictogram at all, it's so inefficient :scusthov:

I don’t like it when other blacks in the diaspora say it. Has a :mjpls: feel to it.

Plus I can’t take Africans saying KNEEGA seriously. Sound like my mans in the record shop from Friday :dead:

Because your education system has 👎🏾 failed you
U would rather hear it from a redneck make it feel more authentic for ya

Yes to the bolded. And there's nothing comical about picking and choosing on this. That exact word was not in heavy use anywhere else, so they shouldn't be saying it. The closest is the use of "neg/negre" in the French Caribbean. But there, it moreso just means a person of African descent, it's the literal French word for black. But even then, I don't want them saying it. It belongs to us.

stupid logic, the language itself dont even belong to you

when gate keeping goes stupid

I dont use the word, but the logic is horrible. I'll use it if I want, my currency is just as black(even moreso than yours) FOH

..with all due respect of course.

Some of them say it with the er. It feels racist even if it's not their intention. We start saying or calling ourselves fa76t54rfgffsfh!@#$, they will follow suit under the guise of "we all black". Need more leadership from them, less dikkriding.

They can say it but it's no different than Whites, Asians or George Lopez saying it. They wanna be down and cool with the hippity hop hop.
