...except that the NBA players receive compensation for their talents.
In a league that is predominatey black, in a league owned by predominately white owners where many players don't have a say as to which team they will ultimately end up playing for.
In a league where a player can be traded in an instant without notice or protest. Where owners can decided how much they are willing to pay for their slave.... I mean player. Teams can match prices, pay higher or many times even lower. Sometimes teams pay based on the player's experience and age, or based on certain skills where they players play for their massa... I mean for the NBA basketball clubs.
Sometimes the players have to uproot and leave their plantation... I mean basketball courts and go to another state with greener pastures many times or colder climates.
Interesting comparisions.... the real only difference is that player are rewarded millions for their hard work at entertaining the masses and has a choice in the matter but during slavery ofcourse this was not the case.
.....by the way, I'm black.... just want to hear if yall thoughts. Perhaps this might be an idea for a research paper at your local college.
I'm already getting ready for the
and
faces.
