You call it dismay when he suggests that he can ASSUME any Black candidate that gets hired is unqualified, and he's only upset that he might overlook the occasional Black hire who "might" be qualified. That's obvious performative bullshyt, you can't act like you're talking Peterson's distress seriously there considering how little empathy he's shown for Black and other minority persons in his career.

This is from a guy who thinks White privilege doesn't exist at all and IQ is a determinative job qualification. Then he goes out and says there are tons of extra qualified White men but not nearly enough qualified Black folk and never will be. Don't carry his water for him.

2. I think many of the BIPOC candidates aren’t subject to the same scrutiny their white peers are, because of relaxed standards in response to diversity concerns. Does this mean they’re not as qualified? I think that’s a deeper discussion than reducing it to a simple comparison between the challenges faced by whites and BIPOC.

I'm interested that you're comfortable shytting on HL here, but then you post shyt like this in HL and even though people disagree a serious conversation follows. If you claimed in TLR that Black hires aren't scrutinized as closely as White hires, do you think a reasonable discussion would result?

Me saying they’re not scrutinized as closely is not the same as me saying they’re not qualified, which I’ve never said and don’t believe. I’m not even against relaxed standards for the sake of increasing a diverse student body and work force. I think it’s necessary.
