America is one of the few places where there is no real stigma with actively not having a sense of national pride.
this probably has a lot to do with it. everyone watching tv in the 90s vs where cable tv is at now, olympics isn't the only casualtyIf I flip on the TV and it's on, I'll watch.
Closing Ceremony today and like clockworkAs I grew up the Olympics are one of those things where I'm less excited/emotional at the start, but by the end while hearing the closing theme song and seeing the highlights I get sad that it's over and got to wait another four years for the next one.
At the end of the day, the events themselves don't mean much to people watching it because it's just entertainment as it's turned into simply a lot of rich people competing. There's lessons you extract from it though that potentially have personal value.
Not gonna lie, I wasn't really hyped for the Olympics at the start of the games, but now I don't want it to end.
This Olympics was lit AF
One of the few good things going.
