it all depends on where you live

where we live, ain't shyt, but go over to my mom's neighborhood and the surrounding areas and i see more people on that block with christmas decorations than there were when i was a kid.

only reason i would ever put anything up is if i had kids who wanted me to though. that shyt takes time and electricity ain't free. :what:
I was going to make a post but I’ll just share this. Some neighborhoods are dead and others go all out.

Man I didn’t realize today was Halloween til like 5pm. shyt is crazy :russ:
Mf scared enough with this election. They don't want to get into the Halloween spirit.

Christmas is gonna be a bomb too. People are in too much debt. The advertisers are still going hard tho they're desperate.

Good luck to them cause that shyt is gonna be WEAK this year. Apple vision pro was a bust. Ps5 still costs a 30% of rent. Games that are YEARS old are still the same price they were when they launched. Clothes are more expensive and everyone is just wearing the same shyt anyway and people don't care about designer brands as much as they used to. I've been seeing young people rocking Kirkland shoes with PRIDE.

The crocs really was the start of that trend against designer imo. That's one shoe people poor to wealthy absolutely Stan and making it look your own regardless of who you are with those accessories was an absolute genius move.

shyt I'm getting to the point my wardrobe is so simple I'm just going to sew my own clothes,

Discount stores are eating. Whoever has the best deals will be the ones eating. If Temu and them can figure out how to ship stuff way faster it’s going to be over for a lot of stores.

Thrift stores been eating too since what's old is new again. Those cargo pants from 2001 are in again.

And a lot of people dressing for comfort over style so you got people throwing on a crew neck sweater and some sweat pants and that's it. Customizing the shyt you already have and buying pre-owned seems to be the move for a lot of people and it makes sense. Why spend $40 on a sweater that looks like it's from 2003 when you can get one that's actually from 2003 for $15. I think there's been more of a backlash against buying shyt just to have it and people want to hold on to things more now.

Even phones aren't really moving like that. People i knew that always wanted the latest model aren't seeing enough of a change in the new shyt to justify trading up.
