Honestly the people who are going to be hit the worst aren't software engineers, they'll still be hired. As those who know how to use A.I can do a whole bunch of intricate things with it.

It gets bad for those who's jobs software engineers may potentially move towards as an alternative.

You want a desk job? You're now competing with someone who has a degree in Computer Science or significant professional experience writing software. You better have something other than weak Excel skills.

The floor will get raised in other professions before the top comes down in software jobs.

Also in this environment brehs shouldn’t be living it up.

Save most of your income, invest and look to start businesses.

They’ll be a lot of opportunities for new services and businesses. That’s really what ai doing. Those are understand this are leveraging it to their advantage.

I mean we all read this last week as @bnew @xXMASHERXx @JT-Money

This should let everyone know about what stages ai is at:

The tech isn’t as advanced as people think

These companies are lying their asses off about AI. Just like all these layoffs are just a cover to outsource overseas.

SEC Charges Two Investment Advisers with Making False and Misleading Statements About Their Use of Artificial Intelligence

Securities and Exchange Commission today announced settled charges against two investment advisers, Delphia (USA) Inc. and Global Predictions Inc., for making false and misleading statements about their purported use of artificial intelligence (AI). The firms agreed to settle the SEC’s charges and pay $400,000 in total civil penalties.

“We find that Delphia and Global Predictions marketed to their clients and prospective clients that they were using AI in certain ways when, in fact, they were not,” said SEC Chair Gary Gensler. “We’ve seen time and again that when new technologies come along, they can create buzz from investors as well as false claims by those purporting to use those new technologies. Investment advisers should not mislead the public by saying they are using an AI model when they are not. Such AI washing hurts investors.”

No we are not. My company just moved sht to the cloud. lets take snowflake for example, storage is cheap and that sht is fast as fck. way better than on premise infrastructure.

all depends on use case of course, but alot of companies are scaling back on cloud services.

AI will do that since it's doing some of that already today. a lot of models are being trained on synthetic data(data generated by AI).

So the models are training themselves in a way? :wtf:

What's funny is that every time this topic comes up, it's full of people who either don't work in the fields mentioned or have no idea what they are talking about :russ: :russ: :russ:
Basically :mjlol: :heh:

Even if you know how to code, writing software working on a team, in a business setting with all types of ridiculous demands and changes of demands is a whole other level.

It's like playing a sport casually with kids from your neighborhood vs playing in a league when money and asses are on the line and people getting pissed. Some cat trying to have the A.I write everything for them when a customer asks why this or that is breaking and to change it because money is getting drained will generate a whole new level of stress and liability.

yup

not sure what input you're talking about exactly, do you mean human input as in a prompt before it responds? then yes it needs to be prompted to start/initiate a reply.

if by input you mean human data then synthetic data is the future ...
