High School Football in Georgia is crazy. I'm talking 10,000 seat stadiums and shyt. But like someone said, that's anywhere in the south.

Its not in NYC... The HS I went to the Football team won the championship before I came there as a freshman...

But the Borough only news channels do show Highlights of the HS football games and even interview the players and coaches.

I bet the stands are empty at NYC high school football fields...

HS Football seems like the last thing people would wanna do on a Friday night in NYC. The only exception is if you had kids playing...Willing to bet kids parents don't even come to the games consistently like parents in the south.

I could see hipsters starting to go to the games thinking they're being on some counter culture shyt.

NYC is much more basketball driven...



Who was the last big HS FB recruit from NYC that got national attention?

Friday nights? HS games are on Saturdays or Sundays. Most kickoffs are like 11 or 12.
And a recruit with national attention in football still won't get as much attention here as a top basketball recruit.

Lorenzo ranked high because his tools are off the charts but he's still raw in general. He is where Mario Williams was out of HS. I used to be cool with Coach Maloof who is the coach of Norcross. Not sure what happened tonight

he looked alot more raw than the last few #1 ends like Clowney and Nkemiche, needs to get coached up

NYC is much more basketball driven...



Who was the last big HS FB recruit from NYC that got national attention?

Ohio State just signed 5 star recruit running back Curtis Samual from Brooklyn 's Erasmus Hall high school.

And Lincoln in coney island usually has good players (sent a 4 star DE to Notre Dame last year) .

But the only place that high school football is even near important in NYC is on Staten Island. That place is tha middle America of NY. They kinda have Friday night lights out there.

HS football in GA & the metro area is huge. I personally don't really follow HS sports, but I'd say HS football in the state is arguably the third most popular sport in the state
