What's wrong with him not chillin with black people though?

You ever think maybe black people don't want to chill with him? And maybe it's because we hold ourselves to this ridiculous standard of blackness based on many stereotypes, often negative, that were determined by people who don't like us to begin with?

You comin at the completely wrong person about this, I dont fukk with black people either :mjpls:

Does anyone have a video of Stephen A.'s response to what Parker said?
“Well first of all let me say this: I’m uncomfortable with where we just went,” Smith said. “RGIII, the ethnicity, the color of his fiancée is none of our business. It’s irrelevant. He can live his life any way he chooses. The braids that he has in his hair, that’s his business, that’s his life. I don’t judge someone’s blackness based on those kind of things. I just don’t do that. I’m not that kind of guy.
“What I would say to you is that the comments he made are fairly predictable,” Smith went on. “I think it’s something that he may feel, but it’s also a concerted effort to appease the masses to some degree, which I’m finding relatively irritating, because I don’t believe that the black athlete has any responsibility whatsoever to have to do such things.
“Let me say this clearly. I don’t know of anybody who goes into something trying to be the best black anything. We understand that. That’s a given,” Smith said. “But I do think it’s important to acknowledge a level of pride and a feeling of a level of accomplishment for being somebody who happens to be of African American descent, who competes and achieves and accomplishes things on the highest level while also bringing attention – to some degree anyhow – to the pride that they feel being black. Because they’re allowing themselves to be a reminder to those who preceded them, who worked so hard, accomplished and achieved so much, but were denied the accolades that that individual is receiving.”

RG3 on being a black QB:

Parker is an idiot. :snoop: This story is picking up steam on Google News. He better hope he doesn't get fired for this. ESPN already took down the First Take podcast episode for today.

Oh he gone. Bob Griffin is black Jesus right now. Woulda been a lighter punishment if he went after Obama or Mandela :ehh:

ask yourself this...

if RG3 wasn't good at sports and he happened to live in your neighborhood, would you be friends with him and hang out with him often? If you answer yes to this, then you're probably a cornball yourself. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just take ownership of it and live your life.

i don't know even know him

didnt know many people here didn't like him like that

:why:

Whole situation makes me sick. RG3 is on the verge of being a little too successful so now the crabs have to challenge him...

Cowherd been walking that fine line for more than a minute. Never heard anything close to an apology as a matter of fact he's extra smug with it because he knows not only will he get away with it, but it will probably benefit him. :snoop:

I remember when he was talking about black players who he doesnt think are clutch or that haven't won a ring.. He said they weren't able because they didn't have fathers in there life.:what:

You don't get it do you? We can have a black QB that can break every QB record in the league, win multiple titles, and have several successful QBs get drafted out of college, but we will always be seen in the eyes of racist people as inferior when it comes to playing the position. Corporate America for the most part feels the same way about us, but we know better.

same Corporate America who gave Michael Vick 100 million dollar Nike contract? Corporate America will support anybody who can make them money.

It is the media that comes thru with the bias. To a man they say that Andrew Luck is doing a great job in Indy. But when they are discussing RG3(who has outplayed Luck in almost every statistical category), they credit most of his success to the Shanahans.
They say all RG3 does is checking down when they are the same people who complained about Michael Vick not being "smart" enough to check down when the big play is not there. funny aint it?

Rick Reilly came through with an article earlier this year and used QBR as crutch to show why Luck was better than RG3. Now RG3 is 4th in QBR, 1st in QB rating, and he nowhere to be seen.

But Colin Cowherd can say racist shyt on ESPN and keep his job. :rudy:

Colin Cowherd doesn't say racist sht. he uses questionable facts to back up his weak arguments.

Rob Parker just flat out insulted black people with his "not black enough" comment. wtf does that even mean?

Man thats the worst part to me. Allowing white people to divide black folks into this kind vs. the other kind. :snoop:

Thats why you don't invite white people into black discussions. White people should have ZERO opinion but Rob Parker showed his ass and made it a top story. He deserves to be murdered.

Yeah, that's the worst part. They got one-up on us now.

Black folks arguing and the white man has to check us. :snoop: All the while making it appear like they themselves carry zero racism.

Why?

Cacs on ESPN have said way worst and go uncheck.

But as soon as nikka say something, he need to apologize.

GTFOH :rudy:

nikka...did I say, he needs to apologize?

I don't think I did.

And if you can't see why he would then I dont know what to tell you.
