Damn, this thread has gone on LONG enough.
Look, I'm the resident black militant here. If RG3 was c00nin, I'd be the FIRST to point that out
Whats going on here is white america is trying to throw some shyt onto Mr.perfect
I seen the entire interview RG3 did about a week or two ago when the shyt aired on Comcast Sports Net with Chick Hernandez. It was during the Mission Possible: RG3 special
And what RG3 said, would make any Black man proud. This is ESPN taking what RG3 said OUT OF CONTEXT and this was done on purpose. Its malicious
Don't believe me?

Ok, I can't find it right now. It didn't come up on youtube. But now that this is a national story? It will be internet leaked.
I gotta make a new thread, but it comes on tonight at 9:30 on CSN

Good points bruh but why'd you quote what I said to say that lol

i agree. idiots on here were calling him names for no reason so I knew a person with a troll mindset on a troll show would say that.

thats untrue. The exit-poll numbers in the primaries will tell you that.

:whoa: Hilary was ahead for some time until South Carolina, read game change change. Older black folks were most definitely riding with Hillary, I know damn well my parents were... partly out of fear Barry getting that assassination work

for those that missed this earlier

I help run a summer football camp in the DC area, and our organization also has camps in Detroit and Cleveland as well. Our organization is committed to helping at-risk youths in urban areas and as a part of this commitment, we don't charge kids from inner-city high schools ANYTHING for the camp.

Well, last week we were informed that adidas, with the help from RGIII, has guaranteed us over $500,000 in free gear for roughly 1,200 students. Each kid attending our camp will receive cleats, a compression shirt, shorts, socks, adidas gloves and a gym bag. Plus 50 coaches per city will get shoes, a polo, socks and shorts. Its around $400 retail value per camper.

It's called giving back.

But, he's a corny ass, bamma ass, Uncle Tom ass cornball ass nikka.

What's wrong with him not chillin with black people though?

You ever think maybe black people don't want to chill with him? And maybe it's because we hold ourselves to this ridiculous standard of blackness based on many stereotypes, often negative, that were determined by people who don't like us to begin with?

He basically gave Rob Parker the:birdman:

and told him to mind his own f*ckin' business.

Rob Parker lost all my respect. If he were white we'd be calling him "backwards" and "ignorant" right now.

:what:

For sure :lawd:. Ladies and gentlemen this is called CRABS IN A BARREL!!!

older black folks =/= all black folks

but I said I had no idea if it were true before the primaries. When the primaries happened, black people were riding for Barack.

You can still be an Uncle Tom and give back. You can still be a bamma and give back. Doesn't ignore the fact though that he's kewnin and Tomming for white folks regularly and is clearly a cornball who wouldn't be able to step foot in my barbershop.

I guess what I'm saying is your post proves nothing. Altruism by the hands of celebrities and athletes is a false altruism as far as I'm concerned. :ehh:

exactly.. its like the movie with Denzel 'Inside Man' where the rich Jewish dude who got rich off the Holocaust tried to erase his sins by giving money back to charity.

obviously its not on the same level, but you can see the parallels

I personally dont find anything Rob Parker said to be wrong, in fact, I'm positive a good amount of the posters in this thread have said similar things around your group of friends eventhough yall acting outraged on here :jawalrus: Facts is....RGIII does have a c00nish characteristic about him. I'm glad he's performing well. He a young brother doing it, but he does. And it has nothing to do with him being smart or because he doesn't act ghetto. Donovan McNabb was probably the safest, most smiling, non-ghetto acting negro there's ever been in the NFL but, he still didn't come off like RGIII. Robert's that black athlete in high school who had an all white group of friends, a white girlfriend, and every album by Fall Out Boy.

With all that said, this shyt is in-house, barbershop talk only and by in-house, I mean between blacks behind closed doors....not shyt broadcasted on global mediums. I would never say this shyt on ESPN :dead:

Rob Parker is a clown, been a clown, and is always going to be a clown. That's the only thing I'm definite on in this situation.

As far as RG3's comments. I see both sides of the fence. I understand not wanting to be put in a specific box, especially one with such negative connotation. But I don't feel like there is anything innately wrong with being a "black quarterback" with pinpoint accuracy, good decision making, a high IQ, and all the other things black quarterbacks are said to stereotypically lack. The way "black quarterback" has become such a dirty phrase bothers me. Like I said I understand not wanted to be put in a box, but acting like being a black QB is somehow an inferior or lesser designation than just quarterback strikes me as actively running away from it rather than simply not letting it define you. Being a "black quarterback" is a big deal. Many people endured a lot of things to make it possible so downplaying the relevance of it... I don't really care for.

Now to Cam and his comment. The part about blaming VY and Russel for the negative stereotypes he faced doesn't sit well for me. Did they squander an opportunity? Yes, but that doesn't somehow lift the responsibility from others to view people or players by their individual merit rather than skin color.
The part of his comment I did agree with is him wanting to change the negative stereotypes of Black QBs rather than just distancing himself from it all together. He doesn't seem to be running away from being a "black QB", it just seemed like he didn't really understand all that comes with it. I'm sure his ass understands now, after what he's been through this season. I'm not going to hold that against him forever, I still fukk with Cam, I just hope he's learned from it

And here we go with the "I'm so different, most black people aren't on my level" special negros. :snoop:

Oh and I don't think there is any question he's a cornball though. :beli: I don't chose to relate that to his "blackness" though.
