Best thing about this by far was the contrasting character arcs of Vorenus and Pullo.
Atia of the Julii is an easy stand-in for the necessary Cersei-style character.
Ian Mcniece popping up was unexpected; haven't seen him in anything since Dune. The hand signals as the newsreader is a nice hilarious touch.
Whoever played Cleopatra was a waste.
Ciaran Hinds is a standout in anything he's in, and his Caesar here is no different.
