His momma got turned into kinder surprise egg and got stomped
Both of their childhoods were messed up.
Gohan was meant to lose. Future Trunks' timeline he watches everyone die. He can't even go home because when Chi-Chi seems him, he reminds her of Goku. His house was always safe from the violence that their power brought but now he brings the violence wherever he goes.
Tragic character.
Glad they gave him some happiness with Videl and Pan. But that's not his role. He was made to suffer.
