A good portion of New World Blacks are racially mixed, you do realize that? Race is not only biological, it's cultural and political. For example, a lot of mixed race people in Brazil identify as black in some ethno-political sense despite not being 100% Black African.

Funny thing North Africans are considered white by the Bureau.Morrocans are predominantly berbers and the berbers are "black" by American standards (in regards to the one drop rule) but they're really a mixed group of people.
They're not "caucasian" like the Gulf Arabs are but they aren't "black" like the textbook definition of "black".
That's why we have to understand that when we're discussing the concept of "blackness" in regards to Africa, you see it's purely a European invention and you really start to understand that race is a horseshyt social construct

Most moroccans don't even have enough Black ancestry to make them pass as " light skin black " in the US. I lived most of my life in France next to West Africans, , caribbeans, and North Africans, and there was never any confusion about who's black and who's not like there seems to be in this thread.
