He isn't black...and Berbers aren't a homogeneous ethnic group...some groups are black, but most aren't. Calling them Berbers and Arabs are just broad ways to politically define people in the region even if they have no ancestral connection to one another.

Anyway, I went to Morocco a few years back...I traveled from Fez, to Casablanca, down to Marrakech to Essaouria and down to the Sahara...

Just on observation--most of them clearly aren't black in the northern half...however as you go further south, you see more blacks, especially as you get close to the desert

In the US you're perceived first by how you look, second by your background/ethnicity culture/linguistic groups. He checks neither box.
