I don't know much about OJ's high school career......I know OJ was whooping people ass in high school, but I don't know about how dominant/good he was in football. NFL and College wise he's one of those cats that is low key underrated now because you ain't supposed to really talk about how great he is. If you kept it just to college and NFL he's up there too. The man ran for 2000 yards in 14 games. That alone is fukking wild.

One really remarkable thing that doesn’t get mentioned much is that his 2,000 yard season in 73’ isn’t even his best statistical season overall.

In 75’, he ran for 1,817, but also had 426 receiving yards. So he had 2,243 (160 per game) yards from scrimmage and 23 TDs in 14 games.

Chopping down the All-Time rushing list, now at 10,375 makes him the 30th-leading rusher ever...

His 873 yards this season is currently leading the NFL by 206 yards...

Currently, thru 7 games, on pace for 2,120 yards. Obviously, this pace isn't likely to hold, but hypothetically speaking, if King becomes the first 2x 2k rusher, he's somersaulting across a bunch of your faves. And again to remind people, before breaking his foot in 2021 he was on pace to hit 2000 that season again...

He's a HOF LOCK if he retires today., and he's the type of player I'd put in first ballot as I value peak and prime above all else.

Those all-time rushing records are obviously hard to break when you are comparing with decades where rushing or hail marys often were the primary way of advancing. Or comparing with teams with no real passing game.


Kind of a pointless stat when tryna determine the "best", it's almost like comparing who has dropped the most free throws in basketball being the best at it.

If he announced right now he was retiring, he's going to Canton:

•half-decade run as the best running back in football (2019-present)
•1442 yards, 13.6 rushing TDs/year, 4.7 ypc (2019-23)
•carried mid team to an AFC Championship appearance
•4x Pro Bowl, 3x All-Pro, 2x yards leader, 2x TD leader, '20 OPOY, 2000-yard rusher (2020)

This is already a Canton resume...

If he does what you're suggesting, meaning wins a Super Bowl, has two more All-Pros, and three more Pro Bowls, this would be one of the greatest running back resumes in the post-merger/post-Jim Brown era. That would make him a 5x All-Pro and 7x Pro-Bowler and a Super Bowl champion...

The only GOAT10 rushers to win at least one Super Bowl or NFL Championship, are Faulk, Emmitt, Sweetness, and Brown. So he'd be one of 5 in that category...

Easily the best running back I’ve ever seen personally besides Adrian Peterson….and you can make a solid argument that he’s better than AP too.

Never seen a player with the home run playing ability like Derrick Henry. If he didn’t share touches with fraud ass Murray his first couple of years his career stats would’ve been insane.
