I think you're talking about the wrong thing. IIRC, in the Oprah interview or something like that, he pointed out that white people were laughing at him for those black pixie jokes. It was one of the contributing reasons to leave.

I don’t think Dave’s a c00n. I think he’s painted himself in a corner, especially with the Joe Rogan/Tom Segura situation, which is that he can’t tell other people to learn how to take a joke, and then demand an apology from Joe Rogan(fellow comedian btw)for his “jokes”. It ain’t no fun when the rabbits got the gun, and that applies to everyone, including Black people. If we know anything about White men it’s that they’re habitual linesteppers to the fullest. I’m curious how he’ll handle the “jokes” going forward, especially with more and more Black people scrutinizing his every move.
