First saying “for getting a check” disingenuous. Dave gets checks too. But he doesn’t sell his soul or look like a clown while doing it.

Dave has put countless black artists on. Charlie Murphy, Donnell Rawlings, Mos Def and numerous all started or boosted their careers on his show. And he did it with dignity.
