Prime Austin or Prime Hogan have him beat. Prime Rock during his face run too. But D-Bry is up there.

Top 5-10, but being this over in this era is commendable

This too. Bryan deserves credit for being organically over in a way that no one is anymore.

Comparing Bryan to Austin and Hogan :snoop:

I forgot how deluded Bryan stans were.
The only difference between Austin, Hoegan and Bryan is that Vince is not pushing Daniel Bryan

Vince pushed Hoegan

Vince, even if it took a while, pushed Austin

Vince RELUCTANTLY pushed Daniel Bryan because he was not what Cokeboy wanted to be the face of the company, and real talk the only reason why he's wrestling next Sunday is because Vince knows if Daniel Bryan left this summer, he'd be at WrestleKingdom in January, having marquee matchups with Okada, Naito, Omega, and even Jericho. Hell, once Punk gets his ass beat again he might head over there too and then you got two of the biggest WWE stars of the past decade, not only helping NJPW grow, but strengthening its foothold in the states, and propping up ROH as well.

If we're talking sustained peaks and taking out the pre-modern stuff:

Were all more over in front of bigger audiences more consistently. Being over isn't just being a face, it counts for heels too. You also gotta count the ability to draw and sell merch because otherwise who gives a shyt? Cena is a weird case because he drew, sold a ton of merch, but even though he got a ton of reactions they only halfway lined up with what his character was supposed to be so I'm not sure if he strictly counts as "over". But I still count him over Bryan.

But being #6 after those guys is fukking impressive.

No...hogan, warrior, Austin, Rock tower above

But Bryan and Punk are modern standouts but probably are more Bret Hart and HBK level in history and not even cuz the E didn't let them shine like they should have...

Hogan, Stone Cold and The Rock didnt have fans hijacking segments and matches that were not about them.
WWE was forced to push Bryan because of how over he was, they knew fans would have took a giant shyt on the WM XXX main event if he wasnt involved.

Now you cant really compare him to Hogan or SCSA because it was a different era and they were not held back by Vince like Bryan was.

:russ: who's more over now then?

No one, because none of these bums can draw, hence why WWE is cold.

Don't get me wrong, I think in the past Bryan has been mishandled, and with better booking he might've had more of an impact, but at the end of the day we can only go on what has actually happened. So to mention him in the same breath as Hogan or Austin, guys who literally transformed the business, is ridiculous. Bryan get's big pops, but guys like Hogan and Austin, got big pops and also set the company on fire. I mean...Too Cool got crazy pops. If that's how you define over, then yeah Bryan is super over, but at the end of the day what does it matter when them pops don't move numbers.
