I thought he was ok in Minority Report opposite Cruise. The New Total Recall is ok, good for a lazy Saturday matinee, just try not to compare it to Arnold's version...
'Miami Vice' is ill....I don't get how fans of Michael Mann movies didn't like that, it's so similar in style, tone, themes, to 'Heat', 'Collateral', 'Last of the Mohicans'....
I like Collin Farrell, dude was pretty drugged up for a minute, if I remember correctly, hit rehab after 'Miami Vice', but I like him in that, 'New World', 'In Bruges', and a few others. I hated 'Seven Pyschopaths' but he was fine in that, didn't have much to do. He was good in 'Fright Night' remake too.

He's not an A list actor... He's a B-list actor who is constantly cast in box office movies.. that almost always seem to fail, same can be said of Guy Pierce. It has nothing to do with their talent because both of them are extremely talented actors.. it has everything to do with box office draw. They don't have it.

I fukks with In Bruges, Minority Report (Minor role, but he did what he needed to do), SWAT is a guilty pleasure I guess, Phone Booth is another guilty pleasure, and Fright Night was faaaar better than it should have been.
He's only 36, has loads of mileage left in him. Give him an "Iron Man" and everyone will be sucking him off again.

He's no worse than Taylor Kitsch, a blank screen would have more screen presence and impact on a film.
Is he really an A-list actor though. Those are considered for the Hanks Denzel's and DDL's of the world to me. Colin had mad potential and could still be huge box office star but he just needs the right role. He's taken a lof of indie flicks but he's not found the right one to push him over the hump.

He's a good actor. He just tends to do a shytty job at picking his starring roles lol.

The only two movies I can name recently that went to theater were remakes: Fright Night (which was good) and Total Recall (which I want to see).
He was hot for a moment but never did anything really worth the hype.
