Is Carlito's Way considered a classic (don't fry me)

Classic. I liked this movie better than Scarface. Scarface was one of his best performance but Carlito's Way is overall better movie.

I also liked it more than Scarface. I watched it first as a kid, both of them around like 13, didnt like this much.

Watched it 5 years later and was crazy. Maturity has plenty to do with how you watch movies. I liked everything about the movie.

It's a classic film for its influence and what it represents, but it (and Scarface) aren't what anybody should call five star films.

Hated the whole love story angle to the movie. Just unrealistic to me and too much of an emphasis. For that reason alone, I can't put it over Scarface.
