If the family has more than 2 kids, you'll probably need a bigger car to transport them around in. The average suburban teenage broad might have a nice little Toyota or Hyundai but that's not going to fit 4 kids plus the driver very easily...especially kids at different age ranges with some needing car seats.

If my wife and I BOTH have high paying and time consuming jobs....and the babysitter was really good, we'd buy her a bigger ride for the kids.

If I'm middle class, I'd look for babysitters with appropriate transportation. If I have $$$$$$$, then a little $25k ride with good safety features is basically tax write-off status...not sweating that.
