Is Butterfly's Grammy speech what led to Digable Planets getting blackballed?

One of the most creative and innovative groups in hip hop history come out of nowhere, become media darlings, commercially successful and critically acclaimed, 2 classic albums and a Grammy, and they just disappeared..

I wonder if this is why...

Shout to Butterfly.

One of Hip Hops forgotten geniuses.

Disappeared? Didn't they just split up.

To bad they couldn't make a 3rd album but given the lack of success on the 2nd. There weren't gon get that. In addition to the content made it less likely

Breh, it’s like you’re speaking my life.

Everything you said was literally the books and influences that guided me from like 92-94, except the Ali book.

I’ve never read that one.

That period is when the biggest impressions were made on my mind that made me who I am today.
