I see where you’re going with this, but sometimes the message has to come from non threatening vessels. That’s the sad reality of matter. They’ve made mistakes, but I doubt they ever thought the movement would get this big.

I understand what blackonbothsides is saying, but I disagree. The reason these rights movements can't be suburban is because a) there is no focus on building wealth. b) civil rights should not but used a a cover for horrible policy in other areas.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I think what I said was taken out of context. My intention was to try and understand the movement. I don’t expect black lives matter to make any big change for black people worldwide. They’ve been labeled as aggressive militants and they aren’t even really about that life. BLM aren’t the black panthers. Imagine if they came through like the panthers...

I’m from Oakland and I was mentored by a former panther who gave me the game. If you’re familiar with the patriot act you’ll see where I’m going with this... There will never be one singular black empowerment movement, so I try my best to keep my ears and eyes open to everything. I’m not with the black male bashing at all! I’m black man, so I feel you.
