This is the 2024 GOTY and it sold less than Hi-Fi rush a game that got their studio closed.
It’s ok to admit the game didn’t sell that well.
The point of the thread is to discuss why such a great and beloved game, gets no attention from the people actually playing games.
Seems bad for the industry that such a small percentage of players actually touched the best gaming has to offer. Can’t think of any other form of media that this could/would happen in.

Played this shyt with my kids. I had more fun playing this than I have had playing a game in a long time. Using the ps5 controller in that way was different and super fun. I know people have different standards for game of the year. But at the end of the day, a video game is just about being fun. This shyt was fun as hell
When games like Elden ring and it takes 2 sell over 20 million this looks to be on a very low trajectory.
It doesn’t have anything to do with the quality of the game, but maybe there is some type of disconnect or folks are content waiting for it to come to Sony pass.

Game is good, but GOTY? That says a lot about the rest of the games released last year, and also probably why I didn't purchase many.
It just goes to show how superior sonys catalog is.

The best the industry had to offer this year was only touched by a small fraction of a small fraction of gamers.
Something is not adding up
it’s an exclusive platformer on the wrong platform.
I enjoy platformers (and I plan on buying this) but I ain’t buy my ps5 for that. That’s more Nintendo lane.
Had this been multi platform, day one, or on switch it would’ve sold way more.
